Pharmaceutical, regulated

Analytics that had to be right on launch day, repeatedly

A prescription pharmaceutical brand, via its agency

The situation

A prescription brand running separate healthcare professional and direct-to-patient websites, with hard launch dates set by medical and legal review rather than by engineering. Tagging had to be specified, built, QA’d and signed off before each site went live, with no opportunity to fix it afterwards.

What we found

The recurring risk was not the tagging itself but the review cycle around it. Recommendations had to be documented ahead of the build, validated on a development site that never fully mirrored production, and confirmed on the live site within hours of launch.

What we did

Delivered tagging recommendations ahead of each launch as reviewable documents, implemented in Tag Manager, then validated logic against the tags directly where the development environment could not reproduce the events. Repeated across multiple site launches over several years, including consent handling and cross-domain setup.
